Dear Santa
Its your favourite person with Diabetes and I’m writing to say I hope you have had a good year and wishing you a Happy Diabetes Christmas.
I’ve left you milk and cookies every though you are probably going to need lots of insulin to manage that amount of carbs. Although having said that you probably have quite a busy exercise schedule visiting all the houses so please don’t over-correct on your existing exercise maintenance plan.
I’ll leave it up to you.
I was thinking of my Santa list and all the usual big-ticket items came to mind, a diabetes cure, government-funded CGMs, the ability to calculate carbs, foods and exercise no matter the dose and still get the perfect post BGL..
But I suppose that’s what every person with diabetes wants..
So I thought Id be a little bit more realistic. Santa, Id really like a year of really great HBa1cs. To have more days where I feel like I have my diabetes under control rather it controlling me and most of all, Id love you to send health and happiness for me and all my loved ones in 2013.
Please Santa, I’ve been a good girl
Nice Diabetes is having a well-earned break over the Christmas/New Year period so hope you all enjoy the same. I will look forward to sharing more diabetes experiences in 2013.
